IHRIM elects new board members

U.S.-based association also elects a new vice-chairman, CFO and secretary

Three executives representing various areas within human resources and information management are joining the board of directors of the Burlington, Mass.-based International Association for Human Resource Information Management (IHRIM).

“These business leaders bring an understanding of the challenges facing HR systems professionals today and a commitment to our association and the profession,” said John Greer, IHRIM chair.

David Brook is director of HR systems for the Southern California Medical Group. He manages all HR application solutions and an independent business unit that performs third-party reimbursement enrollments.

Mario Ellis is director of compensation and HR systems for the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he leads HR pay practices and automated systems and is responsible for directing the deployment of all HR system implementations.

Returning to the board is Nov Omana, founder of Collective HR Solutions. Omana, former IHRIM chairman, has worked in the HR technology arena for more than 30 years, assisting companies with structuring their HR systems to address and solve their business challenges.

At its November meeting, the IHRIM board also elected the following officers for a one-year term beginning Jan. 1:

• Vice-chairman – Rich Berger, HRIS director, Citrix Systems.

• Chief financial officer – Kevin Carlson, associate professor of management, Virginia Tech, Pamplin College of Business.

• Secretary – Nov Omana, founder and CEO, Collective HR Solutions.
