Video goes viral, manager gets fired, restaurant shuts doors for good
A pizzeria in suburban Detroit has closed its doors after video surfaced of its manager dancing on top of a buffet bar as music blares.
Stevi B’s Pizza Buffet, which has nearly 40 locations in eight states, closed the restaurant in Woodhaven, Mich., after the video went viral.
In a statement to Fox 2 Detroit, a company spokesperson said: “Stevi B’s Pizza Buffet was shocked and appalled by the behaviour and videos featuring two employees… this is an isolated incident at this location and the behaviour is against everything Stevi B’s stands for in serving our guests.”
The employees involved were “immediately terminated by the franchisee” and the restaurant was thoroughly cleaned.
Oddly, the statement went on to say the restaurant’s closing was “unrelated to this incident.”
Two videos were posted to Facebook — as of press time, one had been viewed more than 105,000 times and the other 75,000 and counting.
