Nova Scotia minimum wage increase
Effective October 1, 2005, the general minimum wage rate for experienced employees will increase from $6.50 per hour to $6.80. It will rise again on April 1, 2006 to $7.15.
The minimum wage rate for inexperienced workers (i.e., those with fewer than three months' experience) will go up from $6.05 per hour to $6.35 on October 1, 2005 and to $6.70 on April 1, 2006.
