January 1, 2006, the minimum wage rate in New Brunswick increased from $6.30 per hour to $6.50, not $6.40
The New Brunswick government originally enacted regulations in late 2004 that would have raised the rate to $6.40 on January 1, 2006; however, in December 2005 the government repoealed the regulation and raised the rate to $6.50.
