Effective January 1, 2006, the minimum wage rate in the province will rise from $6.30 per hour to $6.40.
The minimum wage rate for workers whose hours cannot be verified and who do not work only on commission will increase from $277.20 per week to $281.60.
The minimum wage rates will rise again on January 1, 2007 to $6.60 per hour for the general rate and to $290.40 per week for workers whose hours cannot be verified and who do not work solely on commission.
