N.B. unveils blueprint
FREDERICTON — New Brunswick has unveiled a three-year blueprint to support the development of a strong labour force in the province. The blueprint has 44 priority action items among three main themes: support the K-12 and post-secondary education systems to prepare students for labour force needs; support learning and skills development; support the retention and attraction of highly skilled workers.
Salaries to rise by 2.6 per cent in 2014: Poll
MONTREAL — Canadian employers expect salaries to rise by an average of 2.6 per cent in 2014 (including salary freezes and excluding promotional or special salary adjustments), according to a Morneau Shepell survey of more than 300 employers. This is in line with increases actually granted in 2013.
