Health care professionals most trusted, survey finds

Different professions vary greatly in how much they are trusted to give their clients good advice.

Harris, a United States web market research firm, polled 2,302 people on 11 different professions to find out which are the most and least trustworthy.

The the top three professions trusted completely, by the greatest number of respondents, are doctors at 50 per cent, dentists at 47 per cent and nurses at 46 per cent.

Accountants landed in fourth place with 28 per cent of those polled answering that they were trusted completely. Lawyers scraped in to the top five with only 18 per cent of respondents indicating that they trusted them completely.

The three least trusted professions are insurance agents at nine per cent, real estate agents at seven per cent and stockbrokers at six per cent.
