Renewal agreement: April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2028.
Wage adjustments:
2026: 3%
2027: 3%
Shift premium: $1 per hour for employees whose site of employment is Emergency Shelter.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: Time based on total completed calendar months employed to commencement date after 6 months, 15 days after 1 year, 16 days after 3 years, 17 days after 4 years, 18 days after 5 years, 19 days after 6 years, 22 days after 7 years, 23 days after 8 years, 24 days after 9 years, 25 days after 10 years, 26 days after 11 years, 27 days after 12 years, 28 days after 13 years, 29 days after 14 years, 30 days after 15 years, 31 days after 16 years, 32 days after 17 years, 33 days after 18 years, 34 days after 19 years, 35 days after 20 years. Up to 10 days each year may be carried over.
Overtime: Time-and-a-half for hours worked in excess of 8 in a day or 40 in a week, for employees not subject to an averaging agreement. May be taken as lieu time on a straight pay basis and accumulated up to 10 working days. Double time for all hours worked on statutory holidays.
Meal allowance: For employees travelling on employer business, reimbursement of $20.25 per day for breakfast, $19.85 per day for lunch, and $50 per day for dinner. Incidentals of $11 per day.
Medical Benefits: Health and Welfare Benefits provided by Healthcare Benefit Trust or another competitive carrier. Employer pays 100% of premiums for extended health care coverage of 80% of eligible expenses with $45 deductible per person per family.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for covering full cost of basic plan, 60% of extended plan, and 60% of orthodontic plan (lifetime maximum of $2,750).
Vision: $100 per person every 24 months for prescription eyeglasses. 80% of $350 per person per 24 months for laser eye surgery.
Long-term disability: Employer provides long-term disability plan.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for $50,000 coverage, decreasing to $25,000 at 65 and ending at 70.
Pension: Employer provides Municipal Pension Plan to all eligible employees.
Bereavement leave: Regular employees receive 6 days of special leave credits upon commencement of employment and each continuous year of service, up to a maximum of 12 days.
Sick leave: 1 day at full pay for each month receiving 10 days’ pay. May be carried over to a maximum of 12 days. Additional unpaid leave may be granted upon request.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 2 hours’ pay at overtime rate.
Probationary period: The earlier of 975 hours or 9 months.
Mileage: $0.61 per km for travel on employer business.

Dietary aide: $28.11 - $32.19 (2025) rising in 2 steps to $29.82 - $34.15 (2027).
Domestic aide: $28.55 - $32.74 (2025) rising in 2 steps to $29.81 - $34.15 (2027).
Kitchen worker/cook: $30.29 - $34.77 (2025) rising in 2 steps to $32.14 - $36.89 (2027).
Residence support: $33.09 - $37.84 (2025) rising in 2 steps to $35.11 - $40.14 (2027).
Program: $35.49 - $39.81 (2025) rising in 2 steps to $37.65 - $42.23 (2027).
Kitchen Co-ordinator: $37.15 - $42.65 (2025) rising in 2 steps to $39.41 - $45.24 (2027).
Full-time employees receive $500 lump-sum payment and part-time employee receive $250 lump-sum payment on July 1, 2025 and July 1, 2026.
Editor’s Notes: Up to 5 working days each year for employees who are Indian, Inuit, or Metis in order to engage in traditional practices such as hunting, fishing, and harvesting.
