Renewal agreement: April 2, 2023 to April 3, 2027.
Wage adjustments:
2023: 9%
2024: 3%
2025: 3%

Shift premium: $1.50 per hour for shift work outside the standard operational hours. $2 per hour for traffic department employees designated to fill in for supervisor.
Paid holidays: 13 days.
Vacations with pay: 1 day for each partial or complete month of services up to 10 days to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 7 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 25 years.
Overtime: Time-and-a-half for authorized work performed in excess of employee’s standard work week and on holidays (double time for work performed on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day). Can be taken as lieu time banked up to 10 days each year.
Meal allowance: $12 for employees authorized to work a minimum of 2 hours overtime, provided that not more than 1 hour has elapsed between regular stopping time and their return to work.
Medical Benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Extended Health Plan.
Dental: Employer pays 80% of premiums for full basic coverage, 50% for dentures, 50% for orthodontic services for dependents under 18. $2,000 per person per year maximum.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $425 every 24 months and $100 for eye exam every 24 months.
Long-term disability: Employer pays premiums for coverage of 70% of monthly income up to $4,000 per months after a waiting period of 120 days.
Life insurance: Employer covers full cost of Group Life Insurance plan with coverage of 1.5 times annual earnings up to age 70. Flat $10,000 for full-time employees 70 and over.
Pension: Eligible employees shall join the Ontario Municipal Employee’s Retirement System Plan (OMERS), to which the employer and employees make contributions.
Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death of spouse, child, step-child, parent, step-parent, grandchild, grandparent, or sibling. Up to 2 employees designated by the union receive a half-day off to attend funeral of fellow employee or retired employee as union representatives.
Sick leave: 1.5 days for each calendar month of service. Accumulated to a maximum of 170 days. Up to 4 days per year can be used for doctor or dentist appointments. Up to 5 days per year can be used for medical appointment or illness for spouse, child, or parent.
Seniority – recall rights: 15 months.
Call-in pay: 1 hour’s pay at straight time plus overtime rates for time worked.
Probationary period: 90 worked days.
Safety shoes: $300 per year to employees who require CSA approved safety footwear. Students on a co-operative work term who require CSA approved footwear receive $130 once during their employment term.
Uniforms/clothing: Building inspection and traffic employees provided with rain suits. Employees in certain departments receive 5 pairs of work pants, 5 shirts, 2 sweaters, 1 winter coat, and 1 spring jacket.
Mileage: Employees required to use their private vehicles will be reimbursed at the standard non-taxable per kilometre rate in accordance with corporate policy.

Administrative support specialist – public works, assistant buyer, IT project co-ordinator, operational services clerk, solid waste inspector: $32.98-$35.08 (2024) rising in 2 steps to $34.98-$37.21 (2026).
Administrative court services co-ordinator, development inspector, facilities services specialist: $38.58-$41.04 (2024) rising in 2 steps to $40.93-$43.54 (2026).
Buyer, database administrator, environmental technologist, facilities management co-ordinator, stormwater technologist, traffic systems technologist: $40.46-$43.04 (2024) rising in 2 steps to $42.92-$45.66 (2026).
Co-ordinator construction inspector/operator, senior municipal law enforcement/property standards, traffic signal electrician, water and wastewater infrastructure planner: $44.54-$47.38 (2024) rising in 2 steps to $47.24-$50.26.
