Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 2, 2025 to Oct. 1, 2028.
Wage adjustments:
- Effective Oct. 1, 2025: 3%
- Effective Oct. 1, 2026: 3%
- Effective Oct. 1, 2027: 3%
Shift premium: Six consecutive shifts at $2.50 per hour premium above the regular day shift rate; Six consecutive shifts at $3.00 per hour premium above the regular day shift rate.
Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Civic Holiday, Family Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day, Victoria Day, Christmas Day, Canada Day, Boxing Day, Heritage Day (if proclaimed)
Overtime: Time and one half for hours worked in excess of 11 hours per day or 55 hours per week. Overtime for all work performed on Sunday and holidays shall be paid at double time. Overtime at the rate of time and one-half for the regular day shift rate shall be paid after 45 hours in any work week and after eight hours in any workday
Medical benefits: The benefit plan in effect as of Oct. 15, 2020 or equivalent plan will continue
Seniority – recall rights: Reverse order of Layoff Procedure (below), provided the employees to be recalled are capable of performing the required work:
- First laid off shall be probationary employees who are not full members of the union
- Second laid off shall be urainees who have not completed their training
- Last laid off shall be all other full members of the union
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months
Safety shoes: $200 per year
Uniforms/clothing: Two T-shirts and two sweatshirts each year
Sample rates of pay (current, after increase):
- Construction labourer: $30.09 rising in 2 steps to $31.93 (with vacation pay)
- Maintenance labourers: $28.76 rising in 2 steps to $30.51 (with vacation pay)
- Maintenance foreman: $44.95 rising in 2 steps to $47.68 (with vacation pay)
