Collective agreement: Impala Canada Ltd.

Renewal agreement: October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2027.

Wage adjustments:

2024: 3%
2025: 3%
2026: 3%

Paid holidays: 9 days.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 4 years, 4 weeks after 9 years.

Overtime: Time-and-a-half for any time worked in excess of 12 hours in a 24-hour period, except where the additional time worked is due to their regularly scheduled change of shift. Time-and-a-half for time worked in excess of 42 hours in a week averaged over a two-week cycle (or longer cycle as the case may be.

Dental: Employer contributes 100% of premiums for dental plan providing coverage of 90% for basic services, 50% dentures and major restorative services (annual maximum $2,500), and 50% orthodontic services up to lifetime maximum of $2,000.

Vision: Employer pays 100% of premium for coverage of $400 every 24 months and $80 for eye exams annually.

Short-term disability: Employer pays 100% of premiums for STD coverage for up to 23 weeks at 66% of weekly wages, up to $650 per week.

Long-term disability: Employee pays 100% of premiums for LTD coverage up to age 65.

Life insurance: Employer contributes 100% of premium for coverage of $100,000 (2025), $105,000 (2026), and $110,000 (2027).

Pension: RRSP contributions: Employer and employee each contribute $2,500 annually in first 1.5 years of employee’s service. After 1.5 years of service, employer contributes $5,000 annually. After 7 years of service, employee and employer each contribute $3,500 annually.

Bereavement leave: 3 paid days for death of employee’s spouse, child, foster child, step-parent, parent, foster parent, sibling, step-sibling, parent-in-law, sibling-in-law, grandparent, step-grandparent, grandchild, step-grandchild, or any relative permanently residing in employee’s household. For death of spouse, child, or step-child, employer will grant a paid leave of absence of up to 7 days within 10 days of the death, upon receipt of a sworn statutory declaration.

Seniority – recall rights: 36 months.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at time-and-a-half.

Probationary period: 52 shifts.

Safety shoes: $300 annual boot allowance.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides personal protective equipment to employees as needed.

Mileage: Travel allowance payments for up 13 trips per calendar year from place of residence to mine site, ranging from 0-150 km to 2401+ km: $101-$1,081 (Jan. 1, 2025), $107-$1,136 (Oct. 1, 2025) $113-$1,193 (Oct. 1, 2026).
