Renewal agreement: September 8, 2024, to September 2, 2029.
Wage adjustments:
2024: 7.7%
2025: 6.2%
2026: 4.5%
2027: 4.3%
2028: 7.8%
Shift premium: $1 per hour on all hours worked on shifts between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m., except for shifts starting at 9 p.m. and ending before 2 a.m., or starting at 4 a.m. or later. $1.60 per hour for al hours worked on Sundays.
Paid holidays: 10 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 18 years.
Overtime: Time-and-a-half for hours worked in excess of 8/10 in a day (depending on type of shift) and all hours on statutory holidays.
Medical Benefits: Employees participate in Ontario Real Canadian Superstore benefits program.
Pension: Employer contributes $0.50 per hour worked, employee contribute $0.70 per hour worked to Group RRSP.
Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death of parent, spouse, sibling, child, step-child, step-parent, step-sibling, common-law spouse, or same-sex partner. 3 paid days for death of parent-in-law, grandparent, sibling-in-law, child-in-law, or grandchild. 1 paid day for death of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, or grandparent-in-law. Up to 2 additional days may be granted for travel out of town. 1 day can be retained for interment at later date within 1 year of death.
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at regular rate.
Probationary period: Full-time employees: 45 worked days of 8-10 hour shifts. Part-time employees: 60 shifts or 6 months, whichever occurs first.

Assistant customer service manager/junior assistant produce manager (24 months): $21.50 (2024), rising in 5 steps to $26.65 (2028).
Assistant grocery/produce/bakery manager (24 months): $22.11 (2024), rising in 5 steps to $27.26 (2028).
Assistant meat manager (24 months): $24.39 (2024), rising in 5 steps to $29.54 (2028).
Meat cutter (24 months): $23.59 (2024), rising in 5 steps to $28.49 (2028).
Department clerks (24 months): $21.05 (2024), rising in 5 steps to $26.25 (2028).
Part-time clerk/cashier: $16.55-$18.30 (2024), rising in 4 steps to minimum wage+$0.05-MW+$1.50 (2028).
Part-time meat cutter: MW+$0.25-$21.70 (2024), rising in 4 steps to MW+$0.25-MW+$4.50 (2028).
Editor’s Notes: Full-time employees over the age of 50 with at least 25 years of service who are working a 40-hour week can elect to work a 32-hour week in 4 shifts and continue to be classified as full-time.
