Collective agreement: Reconnect Community Health Services

Renewal agreement: April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2026. 

Wage adjustments: 

2024: 2% 
2025: 2% 
 
Paid holidays: 11 days plus 21 hours per fiscal year for personal float time. 

Vacations with pay: 1 day per month of service up to 10 days to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 4 years, 5 weeks after 7 years. 

Overtime: Compensatory time off for work exceeding 70 hours in a 2-week period, up to a maximum of 35 hours. Time-and-a-half for all hours worked on a holiday. 

Medical Benefits: Employer provides benefit package and continues to pay premiums as in place as of date of ratification. 

Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death of parent, spouse, child, or sibling. 3 paid days for death of parent-in-law, sibling-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew. 1 paid day for death of any other relative. 
 

Sick leave: 1.5 working days per months of service to a maximum accumulation of 40 working days. 

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 

Probationary period: 6 months. 

Discipline: Sunset clause is 3,336 hours. 

Sample rates of pay:  

Personal support worker: $18.59-$20.05 (2025). 
Home help worker: $19.77-$20.03 (2025). 
Kitchen assistant, chefmobile driver, CM/SH admin assistant, community development assistant, driver, meals on wheels dispatcher, receptionist: $19.50-$21.07 (2025). 
Personal care worker: $22.24 (2025). 
Programs administrative assistant: $21.11-$22.81 (2025). 
Adult day services program worker, community development worker, exercise facilitator: $22.74-$24.69 (2025). 
Adult day services co-ordinator, food services co-ordinator, home support co-ordinator, meals on wheels co-ordinator, transportation co-oridinator: $21.20-$24.09 (2025). 
Case worker: $27.20-$31 (2025)
