Renewal agreement: The collective agreement is effective from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2024, and renews yearly unless terminated with 90 days' notice.

Wage adjustments:
April 1, 2022: 18.1%
April 1, 2023: 2.6%

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: Full-time employees: 15 days to start, 18 days after three years, 24 days after four years, 25 days after 10 years.

Overtime: Full-time employees: Time-and-a-half for all hours worked beyond 80 hours in a biweekly pay period. Part-time employees: Time-and-a-half for all hours worked beyond 44 in a week.

Medical Benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for extended health coverage.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums; orthodontics have a lifetime maximum of $2,000 with 50% payout.

Vision: $400 for prescription lenses every 24 months.

Short-term disability: N/A.

Long-term disability: Employer pays 100% of premiums; coverage ends at age 65.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums; coverage reduced after age 65 and ends at age 70.
Pension: Employer and employee each contribute 5% of applicable wages to the Multi-Sector Pension Plan.

Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death of spouse including same-sex spouse, child, step-child, parent, or step-parent. 3 paid days for death of sibling, step-sibling, parent-in-law, sibling-in-law, grandparent, child-in-law, grandchild, former guardian, or immediate member of a primary relationship.

Sick leave: 20 days per year at the rate of one and two-thirds for each month receiving at least 10 days’ pay.

Seniority – recall rights: Two years.

Probationary period: Applies to non-probationary employees for pension eligibility (p. 38).

Discipline: Removed from employee’s file after 18 months if no further discipline.

Uniforms/clothing: Swimwear and outdoor footwear reimbursements up to $75 annually for applicable employees.

Tool allowance: Employer provides required tools and equipment.

Sample rates of pay:

Residential Counsellor F/T & P/T: Start rate $34.82 (2022), $35.39 (2023).
Overnight Awake: Start rate $32.69 (2022), $33.26 (2023).
Overnight Asleep: Start rate $21.82 (2022), $22.39 (2023).
