Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025. Ratified in June 2024. Signed on Aug. 28, 2024.
Wage adjustments:
Effective April 1, 2024: 3%
Shift premium: $1.55 per hour for each hour worked after 4:30 p.m. $1.90 per hour for each hour worked beyond 8 p.m. $2.15 per hour for each our worked between, 11:59 p.m. Friday and 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 15 days to start, 20 days after 3 years, 23 days after 8 years, 25 days after 14 years, 30 days after 19 years.
Overtime: Time-and-one-half for hours worked in excess of 7 hours in a day or 35 hours in a week, and all hours worked on a paid holiday.
Meal allowance: For an employee required to work outside of the Counties of Essex, Kent, or Lambton, or where overnight accommodations or consecutive days of training are required: $10 for breakfast, $15 for lunch, $20 for dinner.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for extended health care benefits
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for plan based on current minus 1 year Ontario Dental Association rates. $1,250 per year for major restorative coverage. 50/50 co-insurance to a lifetime maximum of $1,500 for orthodontic coverage.
Vision: $350 per person every 24 months, plus eye exam up to $75 every 24 months.
Paramedical: Hearing aids of $500 every 5 years. $250 per year for chiropractor, $50 x-ray per year. $300 per year for other assorted practitioners. $35 per physiotherapist visit. 20 visits per year to registered massage therapist. $150 per year for orthotics and $500 per year for orthotic appliances. $25,000 per year for private duty nursing. $500 lifetime maximum for smoking cessation.
Sick leave: 9 non-cumulative days at full pay per year.
STD: Once sick bank is exhausted, Supplemental Unemployment Benefit coverage will top up EI sickness benefits, starting at 60% of salary up to 95%, depending on length of service, until commencement of long-term disability coverage.
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premium towards coverage for full-time employees.
AD&D: 2 times the employee’s salary to the next thousand dollars.
Life insurance: 2 times the employee’s salary to the next thousand dollars.
Bereavement leave: Up to 5 consecutive paid days for death of parent, stepparent, spouse (including common law spouse), child, or stepchild. Up to 3 consecutive paid days for death of parent-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, stepsibling, or child-in-law. 1 paid day off for death of aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew. Up to 3 additional unpaid days if extensive travel is required or exceptional circumstances. 1 paid day to serve as pallbearer at a funeral or for he death of a co-worker.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 15 months for removal of letter of reprimand, suspension, or other sanction, provided that the employee’s record has been discipline-free for 12 months.

Patient services assistant/administrative assistant/scheduler/receptionist: Level 1 - $24.82, Level 5 - $28.26
Finance/central intake assistant: Level 1 - $25.44, Level 5 - $28.95
IT support/coder: Level 1 - $26.55, Level 5 - $30.21
Compliance officer/health information/specialist/project co-ordinator/contract co-ordinator/rehabilitation assistant: Level 1 - $29.38, Level 5 - $37.23
Performance analyst/information systems specialist/systems administrator security/epidemiologist/financial analyst: Level 1 - $37.48, Level 10 - $44.98
Project manager/strategy implementation & health systems planner/change manager: Level 1 - $43.04, Level 10 - $53.76
