Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. Ratified on June 29, 2019. Signed on July 1, 2019.

Wage adjustments:

Effective July 1, 2019: 0%

Shift premium: $2 per hour for all hours worked during compulsory class day between 3 p.m. and 7 a.m. for employee teaching clinical practicum course and for all hours worked between 3 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday. 6%, 8%, 10% (amount based on complexity and scope of additional responsibilities) of cell G17 for program chairs (assigned additional administrative responsibilities and responsibilities pertaining to coach, mentoring, development, supervision of members of team). 3%, 4%, 5% (amount based on complexity and scope of additional responsibilities) of cell G17 for associate program chairs (assigned additional administrative responsibilities and responsibilities pertaining to coach, mentoring, development, supervision of members of team). $7 for each day worked at correctional institution for employee working at institution operated by Alberta Justice and Solicitor General.

Paid holidays: 12 days plus 1 Christmas floater day. Employees will be given Christmas leave of 10 consecutive days which will include Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Christmas floater day. Employees will also be given additional 5 consecutive days scheduled by employer.

Vacations with pay: 3.25 days or 23.56 hours per month for permanent, term employees. 15 days or 10%; 20 days or 8%; 25 days or 6% or 30 days or 4% for employees not entitled to vacation based on days per month.

Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $747 per year per employee to employer’s health-spending account. Unused funds will be returned to employer.

Sick leave: 10 days of casual illness (absent for 3 consecutive days or less) per year, non-cumulative.

STD: No salary for first 10 days, 70% of salary for following 70 days to start; 100% for first 10 days, 70% of salary for following 70 days after 1 year; 100% for first 15 days, 65% of salary for following 70 days after 2 years; 100% for first 25 days, 55% of salary for following 70 days after 3 years; 100% for first 35 days, 45% of salary for following 70 days after 4 years; 100% for first 45 days, 35% of salary for following 70 days after 5 years; 100% for first 60 days, 20% of salary for following 70 days after 6 years.

Probationary period: 12 months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.

Severance: After 2 years of service: 6 weeks to start; 9 weeks after 3 years; 12 weeks after 4 years; 15 weeks after 5 years; 18 weeks after 6 years; 21 weeks after 7 years; 24 weeks after 8 years; 27 weeks after 9 years; 31 weeks after 10 years; 35 weeks after 11 years; 39 weeks after 12 years; 43 weeks after 13 years.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide uniforms, coveralls, smocks, other items for protection of employee’s personal garments as needed.
