Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2018, to Sept. 1, 2020. Ratified on Aug. 15, 2018. Signed on Sept. 11, 2018.
Wage adjustments:
(For employees hired as of May 1, 2018)
Effective Sept 1, 2018: 2%
Effective Sept. 1, 2019: 2%
Shift premium: $1 per hour for lead-hands.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 1 years, 4 weeks or 7.69% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 9.62% after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
Meal allowance: Hot meal will be provided for 2 hours or more of unscheduled overtime.
Pension: Employer will provide group RRSP that employee may contribute into. Effective Sept. 1, 2019: Employer will contribute $0.35 per hour.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (parent, brother, sisters, spouse, child). 1 day for death of grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 6 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ at time and one-half.
Probationary period: 1,000 worked hours (previously 3 months).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 6 months for warnings, 12 months for suspensions.
Severance: Employer will pay for work clothing for employees who participate in coverall program.
Safety shoes: $250 per year for appropriate CSA-approved safety footwear, including toecaps, insoles.
Tool allowance: New employees are expected to come to work with own tools (industry quality, meeting current CSA standards). $400 will be paid on anniversary date of agreement.

Welder journeyman and ASME applicable qualifications plus 2-year tank trailer experience, tank tester and inspector certification: $29.50 rising 1 step to $29.80
Welder journeyman and ASME applicable qualifications plus 11-year tank trailer experience, tank tester and inspector certification: $28.50 rising 1 step to $28.79
Welder journeyman and ASME applicable qualifications: $28 rising 1 step to $28.28
Apprentice third year: $25.20 rising 1 step to $25.45
Apprentice second year: $21 rising 1 step to $21.21
Apprentice first year: $16.80 rising 1 step to $16.97
Trailer mechanic journeyman plus 10-year tank trailer experience, tank tester and inspector certification: $30 rising 1 step to $30.30
