Renewal agreement: Effective May 8, 2016, to May 28, 2021. Ratified on July 10, 2017. Signed on May 8, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective May, 8, 2016: 1.25%
Effective May 14, 2017: 1.5%
Effective May 13, 2018: 2%
Effective May 12, 2019: 2.25%
Effective May 17, 2020: 2.25%
Shift premium: $0.85 per hour (previously $0.80 per hour) for work between 1 p.m. and 5 a.m. $0.85 per hour (previously $0.80 per hour) for work between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. $1 per hour for work on Sunday. $1 per hour for lead hands. $1.50 per hour above highest rate in department for relief supervisors. 
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 13 years, 6 weeks after 18 years, 7 weeks after 23 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day, double time for work after 10 hours per day. 
Meal allowance: $7.50 after 2 hours of overtime. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Alberta Health Care and Sun Life Health Services Plan.
Dental: Employer will contribute $0.44 per hour (previously $0.43 per hour) into United Food and Commercial Workers Canada Union, Local No. 401 Dental Care Plan. Effective May 13th, 2018: $0.45 per hour.
Vision: $200 per person every 24 months. 
Paramedical: Massage therapy: $200 maximum per year, reimbursed at 80%. Chiropractic/physiotherapy: $250 maximum per year, reimbursed at 80%.
Weekly indemnity: Coverage of 70% of weekly wage.
Sick leave: 4 hours per month, maximum 208 hours. 
LTD: Coverage of 50% of weekly earnings, maximum $1,800 per month (previously $1,400 per month).
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employer will contribute $1.25 per hour into Canadian Commercial Workers’ Industry Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 1 week for death in immediate family (spouse, parent, stepparent, child, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandmother, grandmother-in-law, grandfather, grandfather-in-law, grandchildren, any relative living in household of employee). 1 day for death of uncle, aunt, nephew, niece.
Seniority – recall rights: 6 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay.
Probationary period: 360 hours. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Severance: 1 week’s pay for up to 2 years of service; 1 week’s pay per year of service after 2 years of service, maximum 15 weeks. 
Safety shoes: $150 per year.

Editor’s notes: Hearing aid plan: $350 every 4 years. Education and training fund: Employer will contribute $0.04 per hour (previously $0.03 per hour) into United Food and Commercial Workers Canada Union, Local No. 401 Education and Training Fund. Medical reports: Employer will pay full cost for report required for weekly-indemnity benefits, maximum $75. Maximum 3 reports for specific claim. Food safety: Employees can speak freely with both management and union regarding food-safety issues and are expected to bring any potential food safety issues forward to management.
