Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2024. Ratified on Aug. 16, 2021. Signed on Aug. 30, 2021.

Shift premium: Time and one-half for all hours worked on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24 beginning at 6 p.m.) and New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31 beginning at 6 p.m.). Time and one-half if stage technician employee is unbale to take requisite meal break from time at which break should have began until time break actually begins or shift ends, whichever is earlier. Time and one-half for time worked when there isn’t 10-hour rest period between wrap-up on 1 day and beginning of shift on next day.

Paid holidays: 11 days, half-days on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve (after 6 p.m.).

Vacations with pay: 6% to start, 8% after 6 years, 10% after 10 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for first 4 hours, double time thereafter. Time and one-half if working in 10-hour rest period between calls. Double time for work on holiday. Time and one-half for work on Sunday, double time for work after 8 hours.

Sick leave: 1 day every 30 days worked, maximum 5 days per year. Leave does not accumulate and unused days expire at end of fiscal year.

Pension: 4% allowance for RRSP.

Safety shoes: $150 reimbursement per season, after 1 year of service.

Uniforms/clothing: If requested to wear uniforms during performances, they will be provided by employer. Any required safety equipment — except for hard hats, personal safety equipment — will be provided by employer.

Mileage: $0.59 per kilometre (previously $0.45 per kilometre) for employees who use private vehicles while at work.

Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 4% increase):

Department head (head carpenter, head fly technician, head electrician, head sound technician, ground riggers, head property person, head wardrobe): $33.45 rising 3 steps to $34.80

Crew (carpenters, fly technicians, electricians, sound technicians, property persons, wardrobe crew, forklift operator, crane operator): $29.98 rising 3 steps to $31.19

High rigger: $39.10 rising 3 steps to $40.68

Spotlight operator: $31.56 rising 3 steps to $32.85

Ballet regular crew

Department head: $26.73 rising 3 steps to $28.68

Cutter: $26.02 rising 3 steps to $27.88

First hand/wardrobe assistant: $24.57 rising 3 steps to $26.33

Dyer: $23.91 rising 3 steps to $25.62

Seamstress/stitcher: $23.91 rising 3 steps to $25.62

Warehouse hand: $23.91 rising 3 steps to $25.62

Assistant technical director: $29.40 rising 3 steps to $31.51

Production/wardrobe apprentice: $23.91 rising 3 steps to $25.62
