Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2018. Ratified on June 14, 2016. Signed on April 12, 2017. 
Shift premium: Auxiliary nursing, general support services: $2.75 per hour when majority of hours are between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m.; $2.25 per hour when majority of hours are between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Weekend: $3.25 for each hour worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday.
Paid holidays: 11 days, plus 1 additional floater day. 
Vacations with pay: 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 3 years, 25 days after 10 years, 30 days after 20 years. Supplementary vacations: Additional 5 days after 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years.
Overtime: Double time for all hours worked after regular hours. May be taken as time off, but must be taken with 12 months.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for Health Boards Association Services Benefit Plan. Flexible spending account: $800 per year.
Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. Basic: 80% reimbursement. Major: 50% reimbursement maximum $2,500 per person per year. Orthodontic: 50% reimbursement maximum $2,500 per person lifetime.
Sick leave: 1 1/2 days per month, maximum 120 days. 
LTD: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for 66 2/3% monthly salary, maximum $7,000 per month.
AD&D: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums, maximum $125,000 coverage.
Life insurance: 1 or 2 times salary, maximum $125,000 coverage.
Pension: All employees participate in Local Authorities’ Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse (including benefit partner), any relatives of employee or spouse (including benefit partner): parents, guardian, parent-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, son, daughter, brother, sister. 2 additional days for travel more than 320 kilometres. I day for death of other relative or friend.
Seniority – recall rights: 180 days. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay at overtime rate.
Probationary period: 503.75 hours. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
Severance: 1.5 weeks’ pay for each year, maximum 25 weeks.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply and maintain (launder, alter, repair) all needed uniforms.

Editor’s notes: Union insignia: Employee may wear or display AUPE insignia, but no insignia can be larger than a lapel pin during working hours, nor shall insignia be displayed on employer’s equipment or facilities. On-call duty: 1/2 hour’s pay for each 4 hours on duty. Registration fees: $150 per year toward payment of College of Licensed Practical Nurses Association registration fees.
