Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2019. Signed on April 22, 2015.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective April 1, 2015: 2%
Effective April 1, 2016: 2%
Effective April 1, 2017: 2%
Effective April 1, 2018: 2.5%
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 6 weeks per year, pro-rated from date of appointment. No carry-over. Tenured members are eligible for 1 year of sabbatical leave.
Meal allowance: $50 per day ($10 for breakfast; $15 for lunch; $25 for supper) for travel within Manitoba and $55 per day ($11 for breakfast; $17 for lunch, $27 for supper) for travel outside Manitoba.
Medical benefits: Employer will pay 100% of premiums for extended health benefits plan. Employer will offer health-spending account of $400 for full-time and $200 for part-timeemployees.
Sick leave/STD: Up to 180 continuous calendar days at full salary.
Life insurance: Employer will pay 100% of premiums for university group life insurance plan.
Pension: Brandon University Retirement Plan. Employer shall make contributions to the fund: 8% of salary up to year’s basic exemption; 6.2% of salary between year’s basic exemption and year’s maximum pensionable earnings; 8% of salary in excess of year’s maximum pensionable earnings.
Bereavement leave: Compassionate leave at full salary and benefits shall not be reasonably refused. No maximum.
Seniority – recall rights: 4 years.
Probationary period: Probationary (tenurable) appointments are 5 years.
Severance: 12 months’ notice for redundancy.
Mileage: $0.43 per kilometre.

Lecturer/PA 1/AA 1/IA 3/CIS 1: $60,543 rising 9 steps to $75,591
IA 2: $54,720 rising 9 steps to $68,274
IA 1: $48,911 rising 9 steps to $60,962
Editor’s notes: Standard teaching load: For academic members on full-time appointment, between 15 and 18 credit hours in 1 academic year. Professional associates, a maximum of 12 credit hours in 1 academic year. Instructional associates, maximum of 24 credit hours of combined lecture, laboratory and clinical instruction in 1 academic year. Institutional associates, maximum of 6 credit hours. CIS athletic ranks, 3 to 9 credit hours. Academic freedom: Employer and union will not infringe or abridge academic freedom of any employee. Tuition: Full-time and part-time employees and dependants will receive 100% waiver of tuition for credit courses taken at Brandon University. Estate benefit: In the event of death of worker during term of employment, 3 months’ salary will be paid to estate of employee.
