Integrated Messaging (IMI) employees in Winnipeg, represented by United Food and Commercial Workers union (UFCW) Canada, Local 832, achieved a new three-year collective agreement on Jan. 29 that provides more vacation and sick days and better pay.

Integrated Messaging specializes in direct-response order processing and information processing, credit card clearing and advanced reporting.

As part of the new contract, the 20 call-centre employees will see wages rise by $2 an hour over the life of the agreement. The contract also provides members with more vacation and sick time and additional premiums pay, said the union.

UFCW Canada Local 832 is Manitoba’s largest private sector union, representing more than 18,000 members in a variety of industries, including the retail food, health care, food processing, security, industrial, textile and transportations sectors.
