Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2022 to December 30, 2024. Signed on March 9, 2022.

Paid holidays: 11 days, plus employees will receive additional 4% of regular straight-time rate as statutory holiday pay.

Vacations with pay: 6% to start, 8% after 10 years, 9% after 15 years, 10% after 20 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week (employee must work greater than 40 hours in 1 week to be eligible for overtime rates).

Pension: Employer will match up to $1.50-per-hour contributions made by employee (minimum contribution by employee which will be matched by employer is $0.50) to RRSP. Additional employee contributions beyond $1.50 per hour are permitted but will not be matched by employer. Contributions will be matched after 3 months of full-time employment or 3 months of employment within previous 18-month period.

Calgary

First-year pre-apprentice: $15

First-year apprentice: $18.25

Second-year apprentice: $21.90

Third-year apprentice: $25.55

Fourth-year apprentice: $29.20

Journeyman class: $36.50

Red Deer

First-year apprentice: $16.50

Second-year apprentice: $19.80

Third-year apprentice: $23.10

Fourth-year apprentice: $26.40

Journeyman class: $33

Lethbridge

First-year apprentice: $15

Second-year apprentice: $17.40

Third-year apprentice: $20.30

Fourth-year apprentice: $23.20

Journeyman class: $29

Editor’s notes: Living-out allowance: On out-of-town work, if board and lodging is not provided by employer or one of employer’s customers, employer will provide mutually pre-agreed allowance.
