Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2021 to Dec. 31, 2023. Signed on July 22, 2021.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2021: 1.5%

Shift premium: $12 to cover miscellaneous expenses for each tour when assigned to studio or location outside premises of CFTO- TV in Zone 1. 25% for work performed between 12:01 a.m. and 7 a.m. $20 per tour of duty for camera operators, at wage group 4a level, who are assigned to operate Steadicam. $30 per tour of duty for TSN story editors temporarily assigned to perform work of TSN associate producer. $5 for each meal period relieved when employee temporarily relieves another employee in higher classification for meal period not exceeding 1 hour in any tour.
Paid holidays: 10 days, including 2 floating holidays.
Vacations with pay: 1.5 days per month, maximum 15 days, to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 7 years, 4 weeks, 3 days after 12 years, 5 weeks after 25 days, 6 weeks after 25 years.
Overtime: Paid at time and one-half, double time or double time and one-half, depending on schedule and hours worked. Employees may bank time, maximum 160 banked hours.
Pension: DC plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, children, father, mother. 3 days for death of legal guardians, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent, grandchild. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grand- parent-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year after layoffs. 2 years after date of injury for employees who are unable to return to pre-injury employment.
Call-in pay: Double time for actual time worked, minimum credit of 4 hours. Time and one-half for first 4 hours, double time thereafter for photojournalists.
Probationary period: 6 months from date of employment (employer may extend period up to total of 9 months from date of hiring).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Severance: 3 weeks’ pay for each year of service, maximum 66 weeks’ salary, minimum 4 weeks’ salary. 1 week’s basic pay for each 6 months of service for employee who performs on-air and employee is — in sole discretion of employer — unsuitable for programming.
Safety shoes: Employer will pay 100% of cost of 1 pair of CSA-approved safety footwear, maximum $150 each year.
