Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2023, to Dec. 31, 2024.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Mar 23, 2023: 4.50%
Effective Mar 23, 2024: 4%
Paid holidays: 13 days.
Vacations with pay: 120 hours to start.
Overtime: 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for the first hour and two times the regular hourly rate thereafter.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of the premium cost of Medical Services Plan of B.C.
Dental: Basic Dental Services – employer pays for 90% of approved schedule of fees with no annual maximum, per insured person.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of the premium of the existing Group Life Insurance Plan for Regular Full-Time Employees.
Pension: Employees who are eligible shall be covered by the provisions of the Pension (Municipal) Act.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for immediate family member. 3 days for relative.
Probationary period: 720 hours for Employees whose regular hours of work are either eight or ten hours per day.
Sample rates of pay (current, after increase):
Finance Clerk: $30.81 rising to $32.04.
IT Support Technician: $39.93 rising to $41.53.
Planner (Social Planning) $56.59 rising to $58.85.
Editor’s notes: Employer will continue to provide and fund an Employee and Family Assistance Program.
