Renewal agreement: Effective Jan 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2020. Signed on June 8, 2017.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Jan 1, 2017: 1.2%
Effective Jan 1, 2018: 1.2%
Effective Jan 1, 2019: 1.3%
Effective Jan 1, 2020: 1.5%
Shift premium: $1.20 per hour for all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday; $1.20 per hour for all hours worked Monday to Friday before 6 a.m. and after 6 p.m. $1.40 per hour for employees who are requested by employer to use language other than English, minimum 1 hour.
Paid holidays: 12 days plus Remembrance Day (only when it falls on regularly scheduled working day). 1 floater day for employees at Rideaucrest Home, with exception of office staff.
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month of employment, maximum 10 days to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 7 years, 5 weeks after 16 years, 6 weeks, plus 1 per day for each additional year of service after 25 years, maximum 5 days, after 25 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regularly scheduled hours. Double time for all work on Sunday. 
Meal allowance: $12 (previously $10) when employee works at least 2 hours before or beyond normal daily shift.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Plan equivalent to Blue Cross #9 and rider 2 (dentures) and rider 4 (crowns). Orthodontics: 50/50 cost-share basis between employer, employee; lifetime maximum $2,000 per covered person.
Vision: $350 every 24 months. $125 for eye examination for employees and eligible dependents 19 and older every 24 months. Elective laser-vision correction procedures, maximum $1,000 per lifetime.
Paramedical: $500 per practitioner per year per insured for chiropractors, massage therapists, podiatrists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, psychologists.
Sick leave: 7 days per year. 
LTD: 75% of employee’s current salary, maximum $3,000 monthly effective on first day following 17 weeks of disability for first 2 years of disability. Effective Jan. 1, 2019: Maximum $4,000 monthly.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 2-times annual salary.
Pension: OMERS will be provided to employees.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, same-sex spouse, parent, stepparent, child, stepchild, brother, stepbrother, sister, stepsister. 3 days for death of grandparent, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. 1 day for death of grandparent-in-law. 1 day for attending funeral as pallbearer for fellow employees or former employees.
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours’ pay at appropriate overtime rate.
Probationary period: 4 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for letter of discipline; 24 months for disciplinary suspensions.
Safety shoes: $185 (previously $160) in January of each year for CSA-approved safety boots for each full-time employee; $80 (previously $75) for each part-time employee. $60 to Rideaucrest Home employees for employer-approved shoes. $110 to full-time bus operators; $60 for each part-time bus operator for non-skid black or brown shoes that are suitable with uniform.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide special clothing such as rubber boots, rubber suits, safety hats, rain suits and hats, gloves, lined gloves in winter, or such other clothing as needed. $250 per year for employees who work outside more than 90 days per year, as well as janitor, print-shop employees. Employer will supply 5 coveralls each week for all garage employees. In addition, garage employees will be issued 1 winter parka or 1 winter bomber-jacket. $180 per year will be provided to Rideaucrest Home employees, except office administration staff, for hospital-type clothing.
Tool allowance: $750 per year (previously $700 per year) for mechanics updating tools and tool chests; $300 for apprentice mechanics.
