Renewal agreement: Effective Dec. 25, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2020. Signed on April 26, 2017.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Dec. 24, 2017: 1.8%
Effective Dec. 23, 2018: 2%
Effective Dec. 22, 2019: 2%
Effective Dec. 20, 2020: 2%
Shift premium: On-shift trainers receive 2% pay increment applicable to entire year, maximum of 125%. $0.60 per hour for all work between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m.
Paid holidays: 12 days. 
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 5 years, 5 weeks after 13 years, 6 weeks after 21 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for first 4 hours of overtime, double time thereafter. May be accumulated, maximum 80 hours, or time will be paid out. 
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums. $350 per person (previously $300) every 24 months. $80 per person (previously $75) for eye examinations every 24 months. 
Sick leave: 1 1/4 days per month, maximum 15 days per year.
Life insurance: Coverage of 2 times yearly earnings or 1 time if preferred. May be increased to 3 or 4 times yearly earnings, if requested. Employer, employee share cost of premiums based on coverage levels. 
Pension: Winnipeg Civic Employees’ Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, child, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, father, mother, brother, sister, spouse’s father or mother, stepfather, stepmother, stepbrother, stepsister, stepson, stepdaughter, grandparents, grandchildren, spouse’s grandparents). 2 days for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law. One-half day to attend funeral as pallbearer.
Seniority – recall rights: 6 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum of 2 hours at overtime rate if time spent is less than 2 hours. If time spent exceeds 2 hours, employee will be paid for all time spent at overtime rate. In addition, employee will receive pay for 1 hour of traveling time
Probationary period: 18 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 3 years.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide 6 dry-cleaning coupons for uniforms per year plus 1 jacket, or 1 parka coupon per year to all uniformed personnel, with the exception of fire prevention officers, academy instructors, public education officers, public-education coordinator, safety and equipment officer, platoon chiefs, district chiefs who will receive 14 dry-cleaning coupons per year, plus 1 jacket, or 1 parka coupon per year. Each officer will be provided with 2 sets of rank epaulets to be replaced as required. Recruits will receive initial clothing allocation of 5 flame-resistant shirts or current-issue dress shirts; 1 full-dress uniform consisting of 2 pairs of pants and 1 jacket; 2 neckties; 1 pair of oxford shoes; 1 winter hat; 1 summer hat; 1 bomber jacket ensemble (new-style); 4 pairs of flame resistant-pants or-current issue pants.

Editor’s notes: Standby duty: Employee will be given 2 hours of pay for each 8-hour period of standby duty. In event of call-out, employee will be paid time and one-half for first 4 hours, double time after first 4 hours, plus 1 hour of traveling time at overtime rate. Training courses: $10 per day for courses outside city, where room and board are provided, with exception of courses at city-operated facilities, such as Shoal Lake or Slave Falls.
