Renewal agreement: Effective April 13, 2017, to April 16, 2022. Signed on April 19, 2017. 
Wage adjustments: 
Effective April 13, 2020: 2%
Effective April 13, 2021: 2%
Shift premium: $3 per hour for non-foreman personnel that perform CSE-supervision duties.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: Pro rata basis (ranging from 0 days to 5 days) to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 6 years, 4 weeks after 11 years, 5 weeks after 20 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. 
Medical benefits: Employees will be covered under Clean Harbors group benefits program (class 17 or class 25). New employees hired after ratification will be automatically enrolled in class-17 coverage. Employer pays 100% of premiums for Ontario Health Insurance Plan.
Sick leave: 5 days per year. Unused days will be paid out to employee in February each year. 
STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums (class 25). 
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums (class 25). 
Pension: Retirement plan remains same for employees already enrolled before Nov. 10, 2010. Employees hired after Nov. 10, 2010, will have opportunity to participate in employer’s group RRSP/DPSP (deferred profit-sharing plan). 
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, common-law partner, employee’s father, mother and spouse or common-law partner of father or mother, employee’s child(ren) and child(ren) of employee’s spouse or common-law partner, employee’s grandchild(ren), employee’s brothers and sisters, brother-in-law and sister-in-law of employee through marriage or common-law union, grandfather and grandmother of employee, father and mother of spouse or common-law partner of employee and spouse or common-law partner of father or mother, any relative of employee who resides with employee.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of work paid at regular rate or applicable overtime rate for actual hours worked, whichever is greater. 
Probationary period: 180 days (previously 90 days). 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Severance: In line with Employment Standards Act, maximum 26 weeks.
Safety shoes: Employer will provide each employee with 1 pair of safety boots per year (previously $150 per year). Employer will supply winter boots as required.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide winter parka once every two years.
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 4% increase):
Technician 1: $19 rising 2 steps to $19.77
Technician 2: $22 rising 2 steps to $22.89
Technician 3: $23.50 rising 2 steps to $24.45
Foreman: $29.50 rising 2 steps to $30.69
Driver class B: $25 rising 2 steps to $26.01
Driver class A: $27 rising 2 steps to $28.09
Lump sum bonus: $750 at ratification and $500 in second and third year of contract
Editor’s notes: Prescription safety glasses: Employer will provide for employees who need prescription glasses, 1 pair of prescription safety glasses and 1 pair of safety sunglasses. Employer will determine supplier and type of glasses, once every two years. Per diem: Employees who are assigned to work off premises will receive per diem of $55 for each night away from yard including travel days.
