CN reaches tentative agreement with IBEW

Union represents signals, communications workers

Canadian National Railway (CN) negotiated a tentative agreement March 20, with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) to renew the labour contract for about 700 CN signals and communications employees in Canada.

Details of the tentative agreement are being withheld pending ratification by the union's membership. CN expects to hear the results of the IBEW's ratification vote in May, according to the company

CN moves more than $250 billion worth of goods annually for a wide range of business sectors, ranging from resource products to manufactured products to consumer goods, across a rail network spanning Canada and mid-America.
