Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 15, 2014, to Sept. 17, 2017. Signed on Sept. 9, 2014.
Paid holidays: 12 days. Maximum of 15 cars per shift on voluntary rotating basis on holidays.
Vacations with pay: All rental drivers with more than 1 year of seniority get up to 4 weeks per year.
Medical benefits: Employees contribute to Steelworkers Trusted Benefits Fund.
Sick leave: 6 days without payment of flat. Owner/operators shall, when possible, find a replacement driver. Unpaid leave of absence without loss of seniority to employees unable to work due to accident or illness.
Bereavement leave: 3 days without fees for death of parent, spouse, child, sibling, parent-in-law, sibling-in-law, grandparent, niece, nephew, aunt, or uncle.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 6 months.
Editor’s notes: Benefits: Car owners/company supplies accident benefits and legally required insurance at no cost to employees. Deposit fee: $1,500 for all vehicle equipment installed, to be reimbursed. Taxi lease owners pay lease fee of $1,200 per month. Lost items: When employee discovers lost article, employee may return article to dispatch office for free or to owner for $25 fee or turn article in to nearest police station. Rental charges: Standard car lease fee will be $483 per week and flats shall be based on $69 per shift (12 hours). Hybrid car lease fee will be $518 per week and flats shall be based on $74 per shift (12 hours). Wheelchair van lease fee will be $425 per week.
