Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2019. Signed on April 22, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Jan. 1, 2016: 1.5%
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 1.5%
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 1.75%
Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 1.95%
Shift premium: Weekend shift rate: Calculated by multiplying employee’s regular hourly rate by 40 and dividing total by 35 (previously $1.69 per hour). Does not apply to public works shifts.
Paid holidays: 12 days. Additional one-half day to be taken last 4 hours of shift on last working day prior to Christmas Day.
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month maximum 8 days to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 2 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 5 week plus 1 days after 19 years, 5 weeks plus 2 days after 20 years, 5 weeks plus 3 days after 21 years, 6 weeks after 22 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked outside regular hours. Double time for work on holidays and Sundays. May be banked, maximum 80 hours. 
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Orthodontic coverage: 50% co-insurance, lifetime maximum $2,500 per insured. Major restorative (crowns/implants, dentures, bridgework) 50% co-insurance, lifetime maximum $2,500 per insured.
Vision: $500 every 24 months. Employer will pay maximum $500 per eye for laser surgery, once every 24 months. Eye examinations: $100 per insured every 24 months.
Paramedical: $800 per year for employees for physiotherapist, clinical psychologist, chiropractor, osteopath, chiropodist, podiatrist, naturopath/homeopath, speech pathologist, masseur, dietician. $600 per year for dependants for physiotherapist, clinical psychologist, speech pathologist, masseur.
Sick leave: 7 days per year.
LTD: After waiting period of 17 weeks, 75% monthly income, maximum $8,000, payable to retirement or age 65), whichever comes first. 
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for group life insurance coverage of 2 times employee’s salary.
Pension: O.M.E.R.S. type 1 pension.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay at overtime rate. Minimum 4 hours’ pay at double time for work on holiday, except on New Year’s Day and Christmas Day, which is minimum 8 hours’ pay at regular rate or 8 hours off.
Probationary period: 65 days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Safety shoes: $400 (previously $300) every 2 years.
Uniforms/clothing: Employees will be provided with clothing, based on annual allocation of points. Employee is responsible for cleaning and maintenance of garments. Sanitary and storm sewer maintenance workers will be provided with clean coveralls. Orange work wear for public works employees issued on as-needed basis: parka, lineman jacket, bib overalls, coveralls, 3 T-shirts (option of short or long sleeved), hoodies. Blue parka for arenas, recreation, mechanics and stores on as-needed basis. Blue parka, coveralls for environmental protection issued on an as-needed basis. Clothing provided to WWTP-licenced electrician each year: 5 long-sleeve fire-rated work shirts, 5 fire-rated work pants, 1 spring/fall fire-rated jacket, 1 winter liner for fire-rated jacket, 5 100% cotton socks, 7 100% cotton underwear. Clothing provided to WWTP-licenced electrician as-needed: arc-rated cotton coveralls, arc-rated winter coat, 20 calorie 1000 volt-rated safety set (coveralls, hooded hard hat with arc shield, arc-rated safety glasses, 1000 volt-rated safety mat, safety hook, storage bag). Employer provides raingear when needed.
Tool allowance: $400 per year to mechanics, body person.
