Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2022. Signed on May 21, 2020.

Wage adjustments:

Effective April 1, 2019: 2%

Effective April 1, 2020: 2%

Effective April 1, 2021: 2%

Shift premium: Employee will be paid minimum rate for superior position for total period when employee temporarily replaces another employee in superior position for 1 or more consecutive working days. Minimum 10% when employee replaces incumbent of superior position outside bargaining unit. Employees required to hold industrial first-aid ticket will be paid: $120 per month for A ticket; $100 per month for B ticket; $80 per month for C ticket. $1.37 per hour for all hours worked by employees whose regular shifts end later than 7 p.m. or who are required to work weekends

Paid holidays: 12 days. Employees will receive 5 days off, with pay, during Christmas period.

Vacations with pay: 112 hours, pro-rated, to start, 147 hours after 1 year, 154 hours after 6 years, 161 hours after 7 years, 168 hours after 8 years, 175 hours after 9 years, 182 hours after 10 years, 189 hours after 11 years, 196 hours after 12 years, 203 hours after 13 years, 210 hours after 14 years, 217 hours after 15 years. Employees with 10 years’ service or less may carry over up to 35 hours of vacation each year; employees with more than 10 years’ service may carry over up to 70 hours of vacation each year (maximum accumulated carry over of vacation will be 140 hours).

Overtime: Time and one-half for first 2 hours of overtime; double time thereafter. Double time for employees who work more than 5 days per week, minimum 2 hours of pay.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Vision: $650 (previously $500) every 2 years. $100 (previously $75) every 2 years for vision exams.

Sick leave: 100% of salary for first 3 months of any illness, injury or disability. 5) days of paid leave for probationary employees.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 3 times annual salary.

Pension: All employees will participate in Municipal Pension Plan.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, child, parent, guardian, sibling, grandchild, grandparent, child or parent of employee’s spouse, any person who lives with employee as member of family). 2 additional working days may be given for travel time in connection with funeral or to attend to affairs connected with funeral. Employees will be granted leave of up to one-half day to attend funeral in case other than ones covered.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs.

Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours of pay.

Probationary period: 6 working months; first 850 hours of service for temporary employees.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 3 years for disciplinary letters, written reprimands.

Severance: 1 day’s pay for each month of service — pro-rated for part-time employees — maximum 140 day’s pay.
