The three-year agreement provides wage increases totaling $1.65 per hour over the life of the agreement, said IAM.

Other agreement highlights include an increase in pension payments to 12 per cent of earnings, new shift and lead-hand premium increases, payout for unused sick days and enhanced bargaining unit protection language, said the union.

The new contract also includes enhanced job posting, training, overtime and vacation language, as well as the employer now pays for medical notes, said IAM.
