Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2016, to March 31, 2019. Signed on Dec. 9, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective April 1, 2016: 2%
Effective April 1, 2017: 2%
Effective April 1, 2018: 2%
Paid holidays: 12 days. When majority of employees in Village of Fort Simpson are provided time off in support of community function, Fort Simpson Housing Authority employees will be granted same time-off with pay, maximum 1 day per year. 
Vacations with pay: 16 days to start, 21 days after 2 years, 26 days after 7 years, 31 days after 15 years, 36 days after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for first 4 hours, double time for subsequent hours. Double time for work on Sunday or holiday. May be taken as time off, maximum 80 or 75 hours per division. 
Medical benefits: Northern Employee Benefits Services.
Sick leave: 1.25 days per month. 
LTD: Employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40% of premiums. 
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 150% of salary.
Pension: NEBS pension plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, common-law spouse, child, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandchildren, grandparents, any relative residing in employee’s household). 3 days (extending to 5 days if required) for death of son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay. 23 litres of gasoline for each call-in during winter (Oct. 1 to March 31); 14 litres of gasoline for each call-in during spring and fall (April, May, June, September); 9 litres of gasoline for each call-in during summer (July, August) .
Probationary period: 6 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year.
Severance: 1 week’s pay per year of service (beginning with second year) after 2 years’ service, maximum 28 weeks’ pay. After 7 years’ service: Number of years of service multiplied by weekly rate of pay, maximum 30 weeks’ pay.
Safety shoes: $200 per year for maintenance employees. Insulated winter safety boots will be provided. 
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide summer coveralls, winter coveralls, hard hats, gloves, aprons, welding googles, dust protection, eye protection, ear protection.
Tool allowance: Employer will provide maintenance employees with all necessary tools. Employer will replace any tools that are worn out, broken, stolen or lost.

Editor’s notes: Special leave: 1 day to attend birth or adoption of child, may be extended to maximum 3 days under special circumstances. Hunting, fishing, harvesting leave: Maximum 2 days per year may be granted on short notice to employee in order to meet traditional hunting, fishing, or harvesting needs. Travel pay: Minimum 4 hours of pay at straight rate, maximum 8 hours of pay at overtime rate when travel occurs on day of rest or holiday. When travel on regular workday, as though employee were at work for all hours travelled. Maximum $25 per day for child-care expenses that exceed normal costs. Cooling-off period: Employee who willfully terminates employment as result of misunderstanding or argument will be allowed to return to work and remain employed if within 2 working days. Employee will not be entitled to cooling-off period more than once per 12-month period. Safety-prescription eyewear: Maximum $400 every 2 years. Winter bonus days: Employee will receive 1 day off for each 5 days of vacation leave taken between Oct. 1 and March 31 of each year, maximum number 4 per year.
