Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 25, 2024, to Jan 25, 2028.

Shift premium: If a part time employee works over 32 hours in a week for certain circumstances, they shall be paid a bonus of $1.50 per hour for all hours worked in excess of hour 32.

Paid holidays: 9 days. If an employee is required to work on a paid holiday, they shall receive 1 ½ times their regular rate for all hours worked.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years.

Overtime: 1½ times the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week.

Medical benefits: Health and Welfare program.

Sick leave: 3 sick days per calendar year.

Life insurance: Group insurance program.

Pension: Employee pension plan.

Bereavement leave: 3 paid days for death of immediate family member.

Probationary period: 350 hours.

Discipline: Sunset clause is xx months.

Severance: 1½ times normal weekly earnings multiplied by completed years of service to a maximum of $50,000 for a full-time employee and $15,000 in the case of a part-time employee.

Safety shoes: All part-time employees with a minimum of 2 years of service, who are required by the employer to purchase and use safety footwear, will be reimbursed $30 upon presentation of a receipt.

Uniforms/clothing: Where the employer requires an employee to wear a uniform shirt, they shall supply new hires 1 shirt at time of hire. Special clothing such as parkas are to be supplied and maintained by the employer where required as determined by the employer.

Sample rates of pay (current, after increase):

Full time employees:

Start rate: $15.

6 months: $15.10.

12 months: $15.20.

18 months: $15.30.

24 months: $15.40.

30 months: $16.00.

Editor’s notes: Where an employee is assigned to perform the majority of the duties of a position not set out in the Collective Agreement then the employee so assigned shall receive their own rate of pay plus a premium of $1 per hour for each hour worked.
