Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 16, 2023 to Feb. 16, 2027. Signed on Jan. 23, 2023.

Shift premium: $0.75 per hour for employees designated as night crew; additional $0.75 per hour for employee designated to lead night crew. $0.75 per hour for non-night crew employee who works beyond 11 p.m. $1 per hour for each hour worked when employee perform majority of duties of position not set out in collective agreement.

Paid holidays: 9 days.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours in 1 day or 40 hours in 1 week.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, parent, parent-in-law, child, brother, sister, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparents, common-law spouse, stepparents, stepchild, grandchild. 1 day for death of aunt, uncle.

Probationary period: 350 hours of active regular duty.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for employee promoted to non-union management position subsequent to conversion.

Severance: Time and one-half normal weekly earnings, multiplied by completed years of service, maximum $50,000 for full-time employees; $15,000 for part-time employees after permanent discontinuance of store.

Safety shoes: Employees will be reimbursed $30 for part-time employees, minimum 2 years of service, who are required to purchase and use safety footwear; $30 twice during agreement for full-time employees.

Uniforms/clothing: When employer requires employee to wear uniform shirt, employer will supply new hires 1 shirt at time of hire. Every September, or earlier if required, all employees who are required to wear uniform will upon request, receive 1 additional shirt as long as actively employed.

Start: $15

6 months: $15.10

12 months: $15.20

18 months: $15.30

24 months: $15.40

30 months: $16

36 months: $16.50

42 months: $17.50

48 months: $18

Editor’s notes: Training fund: Employer will contribute $0.06 per hour for every hour worked to training fund. Employer contributions will increase by $0.01 per hour each year thereafter on last Sunday of year until expiry date of collective agreement or total contribution reaches maximum $0.14 per hour.
