Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 26, 2015, to Jan. 25, 2018.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 26, 2015: 2%
Effective Jan. 26, 2016: 2%
Effective Jan. 26, 2017: 2%
Shift premium: 85¢ per hour for all hours worked on the night shift, between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m.
Paid holidays: 11 days. Time and one-half for all hours worked on a named holiday.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 11 years, 5 weeks after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours beyond 8 or 10 in one day, depending on employee’s schedule. Employees may bank overtime hours and take time off in lieu of compensation based on mutually agreed upon schedule.
Medical benefits: Alberta Health Plan. Employer to cover 100% of premiums. No other details available.
Dental: 85% coverage for basic services, 50% coverage for restorative services, 50% coverage for orthodontic services. Up to $2,500 per year.
Vision: $200 per employee and spouse per year, $150 per child per year.
Sick leave: Sick leave earned at 4 hours per month in the 1st year of employment, 6 hours per month in the 2nd year, 8 hours per month after 2 years, up to 64 hours.
STD: 66.7% of salary for first 120 days.
Life insurance: Amount equal to annual salary.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for a spouse, common-law spouse, child or stepchild. 3 days for a parent, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent or common-law grandparent.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at straight time rate.
Probationary period: 6 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year. 2 years for negligence and safety violations.
Safety shoes: $125 per year.
Uniforms/clothing: Hats, hairnets, uniforms provided by employer. Winter parkas provided for employees required to work outdoors in inclement weather. 2 pairs of shorts per trucking employee department in the summer.
