Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2019. Ratified on Oct. 4, 2017. Signed on Oct. 4, 2017.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 2.5%
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 2.5%
Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 2.5%
Shift premium: $0.95 per hour for hours worked on afternoon shift. $1.60 per hour for hours worked on night shift. $23 per month for employees holding approved standard first-aid certificate. $2.50 per hour above classification for employees who hold and use blasters’ certificate. $3.75 per hour trades bonus for, welder-journeyman certificate, millwright-journeyman certificate, instrumentation-technician certificate, electrician-journeyman certificate. Provision will also apply to employees hired prior to Jan. 1, 2017, who hold master-electrician certificate. $4.25 per hour to employee who holds both electrician-journeyman and instrumentation-technician certificates. $0.75 per hour for lead-hand positions.
Paid holidays: 13 days, including 1 floating holiday. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 16 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 30 years for employees who obtained seniority status prior to Jan. 1, 1997. Additional week of vacation after 31 years. 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years for employees who obtained seniority status after Jan. 1, 1997.
Overtime: Paid after 8 hours per day, midnight to midnight, or 40 hours per week. May be banked, maximum 40 hours per year (8-hour employees), 48 hours (12-hour employees).
Meal allowance: Employer will supply employee with hot meal ordered from closest restaurant available and employer will pay maximum of $17 for meal plus reasonable cost for delivery after 2 hours of overtime. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. $25 deductible per year, 50% reimbursement of costs of prosthetic appliances. $2,500 lifetime maximum for orthodontics.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums. $300 every 24 months for employee and spouse, $300 every 12 months for dependent children.
Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 70% of employee’s regular straight time hourly rate, maximum of $900 per week for 26 weeks.
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 26 weeks at $3,500 per month.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $75,000.
Life insurance: Employer will pay 100% of premiums for coverage of $75,000.
Pension: Employer pays 100% of premiums. $85 per month for each year of service with employer, subsequent to Jan. 1, 1973. $87 per month effective Jan. 1, 2017; $89 per month effective Jan. 1, 2018; $92 per month effective Jan. 1, 2019. For employees hired after Jan. 1, 2015, employer will offer defined contribution plan. Employee contributes minimum 4%, employer contributes 4%. Employer will match 100% of employee additional contribution, maximum 3%.
Bereavement leave: 40 hours for death of spouse, son, daughter, father, mother. 24 hours for death of brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents, grandparents-in-law, stepparents, stepchildren, grandchildren.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at overtime rates. 
Probationary period: 90 days worked within last 12-month period.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide slickers or ponchos at strategic locations for use by quarry personnel, bulk loaders. $31 per month protective and work clothing allowance to each employee. Gloves, including seasonal and those required for hot work around kilns, safety glasses, portable air-purifying respirator (PAPR), two-way radios, aprons will be supplied free of charge.
Tool allowance: $46 per month for maintenance personnel, $27.50 per month for utility personnel.

Editor’s notes: Licences: Employer will pay all provincial licences necessary to employees in continuing performance of job, with exception of motor vehicle licences. Safety glasses: Employer will provide each employee 1 pair of prescription safety glasses, including UV protection. Standby allowance: $25 for each weekday, $30 for weekend days, $50 for all statutory holidays. Employee will receive $200 premium per week for attending all call-outs during week.
