Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 1%

Shift premium: Evening shift Monday to Friday: $0.75 per hour. Night shift Monday to Friday: $1.75 per hour. Evening shift Friday to Sunday: $1.25 per hour. Night shift Friday, Saturday or Sunday: $2.25 per hour.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 6 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 11 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 15 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day or 80 hours in a 2-week period. May be banked, must be used within 3 months.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40% for Alberta Health Care group coverage.
Dental: Employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40%.
Sick leave: 6.86% of total hours worked. May be accrued, maximum 800 hours.
LTD: Employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40%.
Life insurance: Employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40%.
Pension: Plan is mandatory for all full-time employees, available for part-time employees if carrier agrees. Employer will match 100% of employee’s contribution from 2% to 5% of wages.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, children, stepchildren, parents, stepparents, brothers, sisters, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparents, stepgrandparents, grandchildren. These include current common-law relationships). 1 day for death in extended family (aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins. These include current common-law relationships). 2 additional days for travel more than 400 kilometres.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Call-in pay: The greater of minimum 3 hours’ pay at regular rate or applicable overtime rate.
Probationary period: 3 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Uniforms/clothing: Smocks or pants will be supplied by employer: 7 per year for full-time employees, 5 per year for part-time and casual employees.

Emergency first aid CPR-C course is compulsory for all employees every third year.
