Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2023 to Jan. 31, 2026. Signed on April 13, 2023.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Feb. 1, 2023: 4%
Effective Feb. 1, 2024: 3.5%
Effective Feb. 1, 2025: 3.5%
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for employees who are first-aid attendants. $0.75 per hour for hours worked for employees who perform duties as guillotine operator.
Paid holidays: 12 days, including 1 floating holiday.
Vacations with pay: 4.5% to start, 2 weeks or 4.5% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6.5% after 2 years, 4 weeks or 8.5% after 7 years, 5 weeks or 10.5% after 15 years, 6 weeks or 12.5% after 24 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours in any 1 day; for all hours worked after 40 hours in any 1 week; for all holidays and on Sunday. Double time for all hours worked after 12 hours in any 1 day. Employees will be allowed to bank OT hours, maximum 24 hours.
Meal allowance: $9 to employee who works 2 hours or more after regular scheduled 8-hour shift; reports for work more than 2 hours before start of regular scheduled 8-hour shift and who is expected to work more than 10 consecutive hours; works 4 or more hours on Saturday.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employee makes 3% mandatory contribution to pension plan. Employer will match, maximum 4%.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, mother, father, legal guardian, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, stepchildren, mother-in-law, father-in-law, stepparents, grandparents, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law).
Seniority – recall rights: 6 months from date of layoff to start; 1 year, plus 1 additional month for each year of service, maximum 12 months, after 1 year of service.
Probationary period: 90 working days (employer may extend period).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for each disciplinary action, letter or notation, including suspensions.
Severance: 1 week’s pay for each year of employment, maximum severance allowance of 35 weeks’ pay.
Safety shoes: $175 (previously $150) for 1 pair of approved safety footwear; 2 pairs of insoles per year.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide mandatory wear for drivers each year: 1 winter/summer combo jacket or, at employee’s discretion, 1 vest; 5 shirts (employee-option long- or short-sleeves); 3 pants (employee-option pants or shorts); maximum 2 hats per year (by request); maximum 2 toques per year (by request); winter gloves (as needed, by request); 1 pair of band ice cleats. Employer will provide mandatory wear for non-drivers each year: 5 shirts (employee-option long- or short-sleeves); 1 sweater or jacket for warehouse workers; (receivers only) 1 winter/summer combo jacket; 1 pair of band ice cleats, winter gloves (as needed, by request). Employer will provide work gloves for employees engaged in warehouse work.

Warehouse specialist (end rate): $30.52 rising 2 steps to $32.70
Shipper/dispatch: $31.37 rising 2 steps to $33.61
Receiver: $31.04 rising 2 steps to $33.25
Class 1 driver: $33.12 rising 2 steps to $35.48
Class 5 driver: $30.82 rising 2 steps to $33.02
