Calgary (71 drivers) and Teamsters Local 362

Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2016, to March 31, 2019. Ratified on Sept. 18, 2016. Signed on April 15, 2017.
Shift premium: $4 per hour for designated driver trainer. $1 per hour for employees working on shifts starting between 1:59 p.m. and 4:59 a.m. $3 per hour for all hours worked on Labour Day.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 12 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years. No more than 10% of drivers will be on vacation at any one time.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day Monday to Friday. Time and one-half for all hours worked on Saturday. Double time for all hours worked on Sunday or holiday. 
Meal allowance: $13.50 if employee works more than 10 hours per day.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums (less $60) into Prairie Teamsters Health and Welfare Plan.
Pension: Employer will contribute $3.25 per hour (previously $4.11 per hour) into RSP.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, sons, daughters, mother, father, sisters, brothers, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandfather, grandmother, grandchildren, stepparents, stepchildren).
Seniority – recall rights: 8 months or 12 months if employee has 5 years’ seniority. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 5 hours’ pay, if employee works. Minimum 2 hours’ pay, if employee does not work.
Probationary period: 120 days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months or 18 months for major safety infractions.
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 1% increase):
Mixer drivers
4-axle units: $34.08 rising 1 step to $34.42
5-axle units: $34.34 rising 1 step to $34.68
5-axle tractor/trailer units: $34.45 rising 1 step to $34.79
6-axle tractor/trailer units: $34.69 rising 1 step to $35.03
Washout personnel: $32.40 rising 1 step to $32.72
Editor’s notes: Beverages: The employee will make reasonable quantities of coffee and bottled water available in drivers’ lunchroom. Medical examinations: Class 1 drivers will be provided maximum of $140 to obtain medical documentation as required to renew licence. Safety allowance: $250 per year after driver has completed 500 hours in previous year. Loss of licence: If employee suffers revocation of drivers’ licence for action committed while off duty, employee will be given up to 18 months leave of absence. Union/industry advancement fund: Employer will contribute $0.05 per hour.
