Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 14, 2022, to Feb. 21, 2028. Signed Feb. 5, 2022.

Wage adjustments:             

Effective Feb. 14, 2022: $3.40 increase

Effective Feb. 13, 2023: $0.50 increase

Effective Feb. 12, 2024: $0.50 increase

Effective Feb. 10, 2025: $0.50 increase

Effective Feb. 9, 2026: $0.50 increase

Effective Feb. 8, 2027: $0.75 increase

Shift premium: $0.35 per hour for regular premium; $0.52 per hour for overtime premium; $0.70 per hour for double time premium.

Paid holidays: 11 days. The first Monday in August will constitute a holiday in lieu of Remembrance Day.

Vacations with pay: Two weeks to start, three weeks after five years, four weeks after ten years, five weeks after 20 years.

Overtime:  One- and one-half times the employee’s regular rate for the first four hours of overtime and double their regular rate for any additional hours after four hours of overtime.

Meal allowance: $10.00 if overtime work continues more than two and one-half hours beyond the end of an employee’s regular shift.

Medical benefits: $3 per week contribution by employee for single coverage, and $5 per week for family coverage. An employee’s weekly contribution for family coverage The Employer will pay the remaining cost after three months of continuous employment. Plan will include dental and vision.

STD: Short-term disability benefits provided following completion of probationary period and start on the 1st day of absence due to an accident and the 4th day of absence due to illness.

LTD: Included in group benefits plan.

Bereavement leave: No more than three days.

Probationary period: Three months.

Uniforms / clothing: Employer will provide rubber boots and other clothing and equipment as required.

Sample rates of pay (current, after increase): Effective February 12th, 2024:

Production, base: $21.85, rising to $22.35.

Rendering, base: $21.85, rising to $22.35.

Editor’s notes: One payment of $700.00 dollars incentive to vaccinated employees to fulfill one of two remaining payment obligations for previously announced incentive to encourage employees to be vaccinated against SARS-Cov-2.
