Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 28, 2018 to Aug. 27, 2021. Signed on Oct. 22, 2018.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Aug. 28, 2019: 1%
Effective Aug. 28, 2020: 1%
Shift premium: $1 per hour for second shift. $1.10 per hour for night shift for 24x5 work week. $1.30 per hour for night shift for 24x7 work week. $0.80 per hour (maximum over top rate) for lead hands.
Paid holidays: 9 days plus 2 personal holidays.
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years. Employees may take up to 10 days of vacation (1 day at time) provided they are entitled to at least 3 weeks of vacation; employees may take up to 5 days of vacation (1 day at time) provided they are entitled to at least 2 weeks of vacation.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work on Saturday, Sunday for 24x5 work week. Time and one-half for all work on first, second, third day of overtime for 24x7 work week.
Medical benefits: Employees will be covered by RR Donnelley-Canada, also known as Moore Wallace-Canada, comprehensive medical, dental, life, STD and LTD benefit plans.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (parents (including stepparents, in-laws, parents of domestic partner), siblings (including step), spouse, children (including step, foster-, son-in-law, daughter-in-law). 3 days for death of other close relatives (grandparents, grandchildren, great-grandparents, grandparents-in-law, stepgrandparents, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, children of siblings (including stepsibling)). Maximum 1 day may be granted to employees who cannot attend funeral of spouse, child, parent. Time off to attend funerals as pallbearer will not be paid for (exception to rule may be made by senior manager at each location concerned in unusual cases).
Seniority – recall rights: Maximum 6 months’ temporary job assignments out of bargaining unit. Equal to length of service, maximum 18 months, for employee absent due to sickness or injury for more than 6 months, after 6 months of service. 18 months (previously 12 months) for layoffs.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of pay. Paid at applicable overtime rates for hours worked on regularly scheduled days off.
Probationary period: 60 worked shifts (previously 90 calendar days).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Safety shoes: Employer will pay 100%, maximum $150, for 1 pair of safety shoes, boots per year.
