New collective agreement at the Blue Water Bridge

Deal reached after 21 days

The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited (FBCL ) announced a new collective agreement has been reached with the Public Service Alliance of Canada.

"We are delighted that an agreement could finally be reached. We are particularly happy that all the employees at the Blue Water Bridge will be returning to their regular duties before the Christmas holiday with their families and friends," said Micheline Dubé, FBCL president and chief executive officer.

The new five-year agreement will come to an end in Nov. 2019, allowing for increased stability as we focus on building strong relationships with our partners and clients.  Over the course of the contract, there will be a 10 per cent wage and benefits increase which includes a general wage increase, increased shift premiums, and additional leave benefits, according to the company.
