Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for steward. $1 per hour for lead-hand.
Paid holidays: 10 days.
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 6% after 5 years, payable on each paycheque.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
Dental: Basic services: 100% reimbursement, maximum $2,000 per person per year. Major services: 50% reimbursement, maximum $2,000 per person per year. Orthodontic: 50% reimbursement, lifetime maximum $3,000 per child younger than 19.
Vision: Younger than 21: $300 per year. 21 and older: $300 every 2 years.
STD: Coverage of 60% weekly basic earnings, maximum $600 per week. Payable after first day of accident or hospitalization or 14th day of illness, maximum 119 days.
LTD: Coverage of 60% weekly basic earnings, maximum $2,600 per month. Payable after 119 days.
AD&D: Coverage of $100,000.
Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse (including common-law), children. 3 days for death of mother, father, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, mother-in-law, father-in-law.
Probationary period: 3 months.
Safety shoes: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety footwear where required, to be furnished by employee.
Uniforms/clothing: All employees will wear safety hats, safety glasses, quality (rubber) ear plugs which will be supplied by employer. Gloves will be supplied by employer if determined in pre-job agreement. Employer will provide coveralls for mechanics, welders, servicemen, maximum 3 pairs per year.
Tool allowance: $1 per hour for mechanics and apprentices who supply own tools.

Editor’s notes: Union-management meetings: Employees attending meetings during regular working hours will be entitled to regular straight-time rate of pay. If meetings are held outside of regular working hours, employer will pay flat fee of $20 to employees for each meeting attended.
