Renewal agreement: Effective Nov. 1, 2018 to Oct. 31, 2022. Ratified on July 4, 2019. Signed on July 25, 2019.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 10%
Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 10%
Effective Jan. 1, 2021: 2%
Effective Jan. 1, 2022: 2%
Shift premium: $0.75 per hour for any straight-time hours worked between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. Monday through Sunday. $2 per hour for employee working in higher-level capacity.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 80 hours to start, 120 hours after 6 years, 160 hours after 11 years, 200 hours after 16 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 or 10 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Time may be banked, maximum 80 hours.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for Alberta Health Care Insurance.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Sick leave: 1 day per month, maximum 85 days.
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employer, employee will each pay their share of premiums of employer’s pension plan or to any future plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (son, daughter, current partner, common-law partner, mother, father, sister, brother, stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, stepgrandchildren, parent of current partner, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparent of partner, legal guardian). 2 additional days for travel time, if distance travelled is more than 450 kilometres away from Grande Prairie.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours of pay at overtime rates.
Probationary period: First 480 hours served.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Safety shoes: $150 per year for full-time; $75 per year for part-time employees, for employees with 480 hours of service and who require safety footwear, gloves as condition of employment.

Custodian 1: $18.13 rising 4 steps to $22.82
Custodian 2: $20.64 rising 4 steps to $25.98
Guest-service attendant: $16.98 rising 4 steps to $21.38
Facility operator 1: $24.41 rising 4 steps to $30.73
Facility operator 2: $25.02 rising 4 steps to $31.50
Fieldhouse attendant: $18.18 rising 4 steps to $22.82
Camp instructor: $18.18 rising 4 steps to $22.82
Lead-camp instructor: $22.44 rising 4 steps to $28.24
Editor’s notes: Standby: 1 hour of pay at current rate per day on weekdays; 1 hour of pay at rate of pay plus appropriate shift premiums per day. In addition to standby pay, employee will be paid minimum 3 hours of at rate of pay for each call out. Driver’s medical examinations: Employer will reimburse employee for all costs of driver’s license medical examinations if employee who requires classification of driver’s license (if medical examination is needed).
