ONA members ratify new agreement with South West CCAC in Ontario

Had been without contract since March 2016

Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) registered nurses and allied health professionals have ratified a new agreement with the South West Community Care Access Centre March 9.

The 446 ONA members serve the counties of Bruce, Grey, Huron, Perth, London-Middlesex, Oxford, Elgin and Norfolk in Ontario.

The RNs and allied health professionals had been working without a contract since March 31, 2016. ONA had recommended acceptance of the new agreement, said the union.

ONA represents 62,000 registered nurses and allied health professionals, as well as almost 16,000 nursing-student affiliates, providing care in hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health, the community, clinics and industry.
