Surrey, B.C. (60 drivers, owner-operators) and Teamsters, Local 31

Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 31, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2021. Signed on Aug. 31, 2017.
Shift premium: $3 per hour for flat-deck premium. $35 per pickup and drop for all pickup and deliveries after first drop. 
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 4% pay to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 4 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 9 hours per day. 
Medical benefits: Teamsters National Benefit Plan. Employer will pay $280 per month per eligible employee or dependent contractor. Should cost of plan increase during term of agreement, maximum increase to employer will be $5 per month per year per eligible employee or dependent contractor. Any increase above $5 per month per year per eligible employee or dependent contractor will be paid by employee or dependent contractor. Plan includes: group life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, weekly indemnity, long-term disability, dental, extended health, medical services plan of B.C.
Pension: Teamsters’ National Pension Plan. Employer will contribute per employee: $0.50 per hour effective Jan. 1, 2019; $0.70 per hour effective Jan. 1, 2020; $0.90 per hour effective Jan. 1, 2021.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of parent, spouse, brother, sister, child, parent-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, stepchildren, legal guardian, grandparents, spouse’s grandparents and grandchildren.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year, 18 months after 5 years of service. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay. 
Probationary period: 45 days worked. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Safety shoes: $100 per year.
