Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025. Signed on Jan. 5, 2023.
Shift premium: $2 per hour (previously $1.75 per hour) while performing lead-hand duties. $1 per hour if 50% or more of working hours fall within night shift (midnight and 6 a.m.). If less than 50% of working hours fall within night shift, employees will receive $1 per hour for hours worked during night shift (midnight and 6 a.m.). $1 per hour northern premium for YXL (Sioux Lookout Airport ) employees.
Paid holidays: 10 days, including National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, plus Family Day as paid holiday.
Vacations with pay: 80 hours or 4% after 1 year, 120 hours or 6% after 5 years, 160 hours or 8% after 10 years, 200 hours or 10% after 15 years, 216 hours or 10.8% after 25 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 8 hours in any 1 shift. May be banked and taken as time off, maximum 70 regular hours in bank. Unused days at Dec. 31 will be paid out at earned rate when day was banked.
Meal allowance: Unpaid dinner break and meal per diem of $25 (previously $16) will be provided to employee after 4 hours of daily overtime has been worked after 8-hour shift.
Sick leave: 5 days (previously 4 days). Maximum 10 days per year combined of both rolled over and newly accrued sick time.
Bereavement leave: 10 days for death of immediate family member (spouse, common-law partner, father, mother, spouse or common-law partner’s father, mother, common-in laws, employee’s and spouse/common-law partner’s children, siblings, grandchildren, grandfather, great grandfather, grandmother, great grandmother, any relative who resides with employee). 1 day to attend funeral/memorial service for aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins (first). Time off without pay to attend funeral/memorial service for death of friend or acquaintance.
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours of at time and one-half, exclusive of any premiums for hours worked.
Probationary period: Minimum 6 calendar months worked with employer for full-time employee; minimum 6 calendar months worked with employer, minimum 520 hours, for part-time employee.
Safety shoes: $125, effective on first pay period in January, for employer-approved safety footwear, that are minimum CSA-approved footwear and safety footwear must be worn at all times while on shift.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply 1 pair of work gloves/mitts in first week of January, April, July and October for each employee. Employer will supply ear protectors to employees for working in noise-hazard areas.

2 year: $17.88 rising 2 steps to $18.42

5 year: $21.33 rising 2 steps to $22.41
$350 signing bonus for each full-time employee ($150 for part-time employees) upon ratification of agreement.
