Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2014, to April 30, 2019. Signed on Oct. 6, 2015.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective May 1, 2014: 2.5%
Effective May 1, 2015: 2.75%
Effective May 1, 2016: 2.75%
Effective May 1, 2017: 2.5%
Effective May 1, 2018: 2.5%
Shift premium: $2.35 per hour for shift workers on afternoon and midnight shifts. Rises to $2.40 per hour on May 1, 2017, and $2.45 per hour on May 1, 2018. $0.40 per hour while working underground. $1.60 per hour for working on Saturday or Sunday, rising to $1.65 per hour on May 1, 2017, and $1.70 per hour on May 1, 2018.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 10 working hours per month of service (max. 120 hours) to start, 120 working hours after 1 year, 128 working hours after 6 years, 136 working hours after 7 years, 144 working hours after 8 years, 152 working hours after 9 years, 160 working hours after 10 years, 200 working hours after 15 years. Can be carried over to the next vacation year only. 
Overtime: Double time for time actually worked in excess of daily scheduled hours worked in excess of the averaging provision in effect. Double time for hours worked on scheduled days off. If scheduled days off are changed with less than 24 hours’ notice, double time for first day worked of previously scheduled days off.
Meal allowance: $20, if working more than 2 hours overtime following scheduled shift and every 4 hours thereafter.
Dental: Company provides 80% coverage of basic services, 50% to 100% for other services, to a maximum of $1,600 per individual.
Vision: Company provides 80% coverage for eye exams, eyeglasses, contact lenses, laser eye surgery every 24 months, up to $325.
Sick leave: 64 hours per year. Up to 24 hours can be banked and accumulated; accumulated hours beyond 24 will be converted to pay.
STD: 70% of basic rate up to 17 weeks, provided that at least 3 accumulated sick days are used prior to benefits taking effect.
LTD: 70% of base rate monthly earnings taking effect on expiration of weekly accident and sickness benefit. Continue until recovery, retirement age, other gainful employment, or death.
AD&D: 2 times basic annual earnings to nearest multiple of $1,000. Various proportions for loss of limbs, hands, eyes, speech, hearing, or digits.
Life insurance: 2 times annual earnings to nearest multiple of $1,000. $10,000 for spouse, $7,000 for eligible dependant.
Pension: Defined contribution pension plan. Employees contribute 3% of earnings, matched by company.
Bereavement leave: Up to 2 shifts within 5-day period for death of immediate family member. Funeral leave of up to 2 shifts for funeral of immediate family member. Up to one full shift to attend funeral as pallbearer.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.
Call-in pay: $25 or $0.55 per kilometre travelled from place of residence if employee called out after leaving site and is given less than 12 hours’ notice. Greater of 6 hours at basic hourly rate or 2 times basic hourly rate for all hours worked.
Probationary period: 560 hours within 12 consecutive months.
Severance: 1 week’s notice for employees of less than 3 years; 3 weeks’ notice for employees of 3 to 5 years; 5 weeks’ notice for employees of more than 5 years’ service.
Safety shoes: $300 per year for clothing and boots.
Uniforms/clothing: Work gloves provided by company.
Tool allowance: Tools supplied by company.
Sample rates of pay (current):
$29.07 per hour, rising in 22 steps to $44.12 per hour.
Editor’s notes: Vacation bonus: $200 for employees who reach 1 year of service; $250 for employees who reach 5 years of service; $300 for employees who reach 10 years of service.
